A graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Philip also holds an Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Engineering degree from Durham Technical Community College.
Why does this make a difference? Because having a mechanical and electrical background gives him much more knowledge than the average inspector.
Prior to starting his home inspection business, Philip spent several years applying his engineering skills in industrial settings as a facilities manager and plant manager. Basically he inspected – and rectified – problems on a large, fast-paced scale. He was Plant Manager at ITW / Hi-Cone in Zebulon, NC, and prior to that Facilities Manager at AVX Corporation in Raleigh.
Why the change to the residential setting? With an engineering background, Phil felt he would have a broad base of knowledge to help the homeowners (He’s already the “go to” person in his neighborhood when something breaks at a neighbor’s house).
Homes are Philip’s passion. He loves every aspect of houses; how they are built and the systems that go into them. Heating and AC, plumbing and structural are what he excels at and loves to do
Let Philip show you why his training, experience and background make him the BEST choice for SMART home buyers and owners.
